'Pictures in signature/How do I post a picture?'
|
|
To post an image it MUST be hosted in cyberspace somewhere. If you have one on your computer you wish to use, you must upload it somewhere.... usually in a free hosting account. You will then need the full URL of your image.
OR
Supposin you've found an image on a web page. Next you need to find out the full URL (Universal Resource Locator.... web addy!) address of the image. To do this, right click on the image, and then select 'properties'.
Half way down the resulting pop up it will show the full URL of the image. Copy this using your mouse, but make sure you copy ALL the URL... some images have URLs longer than the space it is displayed in on the pop up!
Then..... in the posting text box (where you type all your blurb you want to say), type [img] followed by the full url of your image, followed by [/img]
e.g. This image....
has this URL.... http://www.yorkshirecruise.com/Forum/templates/VereorMenInBlack/images/fhztopbanner.gif
So to post it we just type....
code:
[img]http://www.yorkshirecruise.com/Forum/templates/VereorMenInBlack/images/fhztopbanner.gif[/img]
...notice the IMG tag at the start and /IMG at the end.
To place a picture or banner in your signature (no tall images please), do exactly the same..... Go to your Profile page, and find the signature box...
Then enter your image URL WITH IMG tags, and press submit. Then go to the Test Station and post somethin to test it.
